Some folks who love designing on grids create a bunch of narrow columns by figuring out the math so the column guides align with all the major and minor.
When this is checked objects that you draw move or resize within 4 pixels of a guide will snap to the guides.
Choose view grids guides and make sure snap to guides is checked.
Some people use gutter to describe the space between 2 columns other use it to describe the space between two pages.
To set or change the number of columns in an individual text frame and establish the gutter spacing between these columns open the object menu and choose text frame options.
Step 4 click ok to create the text box with the desired spaced between the columns.
Text frames can also be connected to other text frames so that the text in one frame can flow into another frame.
Indesign does not allow you to set up unequal column widths in any of the dialog boxes for working with margins columns or text frames.
Adjust the space between the columns by entering a value in the field next to gutter or use the arrows next to the text field to increase or decrease the space.
Move your text frames and images near the margins and column guides and they will snap to the guides.
But you can work around this problem in a few ways.
